This is my third G coupe..... and the best. It looks great and is very comfortable and handles well. I do most of my driving around town and I consistently get about 20 mpg. I enjoy its quietness when you want it to be, but if you put the pedal to the metal it makes a nice growl. I find the stablity control is also excellent, and does not intrude unlike some other vehicles. A couple of minor dislikes however. The automatic transmission indicator is very difficult to see except at night, and being a dyed in the wool car guy I find the engine lacks the torque that I am used to. In other words, this is a real good car and in my judgement a few improvements would make it a great car.

This G coupe is such a fun car to drive and to hear. I love the clean smooth lines and that awesome exhaust note. Two of the main reasons, I decided to but this car. I am pleased to say, I am not disappointed. It continues to excite me as much now, 7 years later as it did when I drove it out of the show room. This was the perfect car for me.

I switched to synthetic oil after the first oil change and the car runs fantastic. averaging about 25mpg even though I have a heavy foot. Cost of maintaining the car has been a little higher than expected but have had no major maintenance over 53k miles. Handling and performance make this car fun to drive. The 6sp manual transmission does have a slight hitch in between 1st and 2nd gears even with close ratio gear box. Up until this year I had two sets of tires one for winter and one for summer. This year got new all seasonal performance tires so far so good. I love the early exterior styling more than the newer versions so I'm gonna hang onto this one. Overall extremely satisfied!

The Look is great. The ride has been excellent. It sounds like a fast car. People ask me what kind of car it is and they tell me they love it. The Liquid Platinum color of my G37X chages looks as the light varies and it is stunning. The AWD was wonderful in the winter (the snow/ice setting really worked well) and we live in the snow belt of NE Ohio. This car is as fast as advertised. The sound system is excellent. Comfortable seats in the front. On the downside there is too much extruded and molded plastic to form the nose and skirting of car. The back seat only usable by children. The wind whistles through the windows a bit after you go over 85 MPH

I love my '08 G37S. The last time I enjoyed driving a car as much was my mid-80s Prelude stick! The interior of my G is what finally got me to buy one. I loved the exterior of the previous model G but hated the interior. I'm not wild about the exterior of the current G, especially the rear end, but I don't have to look at it much. The comfort and convenience of the controls as well as the cool looking instrument panel help me love cruising the open roads in my G.

I thoroughly like the car with one exception. The transmission is very slow to shift, compared to others. It seems to be searching for a gear at low speeds an feels as though it can't decide. Otherwise, the car is fine. the electronics are great and the ride comfortable with superior acceleration.

This car is a blast to drive, very responsive. The handling is excellent, but the ride is rough. The highs include impressive mileage for this much horsepower, logical controls and comfortable seats. Things that need improvement: the black and white dash readout looks so dated, like the first computer I bought 25 years ago, the seatbelts are hard to reach and often hit the door trim upon exit, the Bose Premium sound is not that premium. All in all, the car is an excellent value.

I purcahased my Infiniti as move up car and because my Mom told me that my previous vehicle was too big for me and didn't fit me. She was right. This car is used during my commute 4 days a week and I love the speed I have when needed to merge or in to get away from questionable driving situations. The Bose stereo ROCKS! And heated seats during the winter months is something I have never had the pleasure of before and I love it!

I own my second Infinity Coupe due to the performance, comfort, value combination that Infinity has developed with this car. For the money, I could not find other cars that performed like the G Coupe. If I could influence the next generation G Coupe I wou
D do the following:
1. More torque at lower RPMs
2. Design a front bumper or lower air dam that is a bit more aggressive and hugs the ground closer.
3. Redesign the back end without the chrome accent and give the car a wider appearance. The last generation had a better styled back facade than the new car but the front of the new style is nicer.
4. The interior materials and finishes are great. Keep the luxury.

The G is fun to drive and corners like it is on rails. The trunk is small and after having the car for a while I wish it was a hatchback or had a bigger trunk. The interior is very high quality and comfortable but rough roads send lots of noise inside which bothers me on long trips. The power is good but I usually get about 20 mpg on premium fuel and I expected a little better out of a 3.5 v6. The styling is very clean, no spoiler, 19" bright chrome wheels and I get nice comments from strangers.

This is my second G Sports Coupe Car. I had the G35 and traded it for the G37S a little over 2 years ago. It's an okay car I can say I loved the the first one a lot more. Its comfortable and sleek looking and has the right amount of power whenever you need it. I can't wait to trade it in for the next new model.

Why must the engine run at 3,000 rpm to maintain 62 mph? That's the reason the mileage is so poor. Lots of torque available...you COULD have used a taller rear axle ratio! (I believe you have addressed this in newer models.)
With the door shut, the driver cannot reach the seat controls.
Front-seat passengers complain of too-tight seat belt shoulder harness.
Other (lower-priced!) competitors offer key fobs that cause the climate, radio and seat postion controls to reset to to settings last used by each individual driver.
Paging through the panel display for mileage, tire pressure, etc is cumbersome; NOT intuitive.

Great value, fun to drive with good performanceOctober 19, 2011

This is my third Infiniti and my second G37 coupe, which ultimately should say something about the vehicles that Infiniti produces.
My perspective on the G37: I find it to a good performer though it's heavy weight ultimately holds it back from being a great performer. From a feature stand point, the G37 is nearly top of the line in amenities and technology, though the entertainment system suffers from laggy input versus previous G37 models (2008-2009). Moreover, some of the interior bits in the G37 are very low rent, filled with hard plastics that sound extremely cheap - clearly a cost cutting maneuver to keep the price of the vehicle lower than it's competitors.

Before driving a G Coupe 6MT, I'd budgeted for a 911 and had also driven Evora, Z06 and A5. First impression of G was that I'd finally found a car that fit. Second impression was surprise at superior value. Third and later impressions: every time I drive it, I feel as if I gave myself a no-compromise treat at half the price I'd expected to pay.
